Sweet Dreams Available At Amazon

I know that several people have e-mailed me about buying the Kindle edition of Sweet Dreams over at Amazon, but found they were unable to. While you can buy the Kindle version at My Bookstore and More, I'm pleased to announce that it's now available at Amazon.

I have no clue why it took so long to become available for purchase, but at least it now is available. So if you've been waiting for Amazon to have it, they now do!

Wow

So much has happened this week, and will happen, I don't know quite where to start.

Well, okay; let's start with the good stuff, because the bad stuff is pretty bad.

I got the final book on Cat of a Different Color (YAY!), and it looks absolutely gorge. It is totally fierce. And I got to chat on Chatting With Joyfully Reviewed! That was a lot of fun! (I'll have to try and chat there a little more often!)

On the truly busy side, work is progressing on Save A Horse. Why am I working on that? I realized that the deadline for the cowboy anthology at Samhain is December 1, that's why! So I need to get a move-on if I want to submit Save for that. Travis is not happy, but he's being a good sport about it.

My tenth wedding anniversary is tomorrow (love you, Dusty! Here's to thirty or forty more years) and we still don't know what we want to do to celebrate.

Our plans have been put on temporary hold for the other reason I'm kind of flaky this week, aka the bad news. I found out Tuesday that a cousin passed away suddenly. It was a total shock, because he was in such good health! He was the same age as my mother, worked out, didn't smoke or drink, yet he had a heart attack while in Washington on business. We're waiting to find out when the funeral will be, so our plans are on hold until we hear back.

So yeah, I didn't want to say anything until the week was drawing to a close. I didn't want anything to be colored by the bad, but of course I know I haven't been completely on my game this week. So this weekend I will be mostly out of touch as I wait to see what's going on with my family.

So as much as I love Cat, and my chat with Joyfully Reviewed, the best part of this week? Ten years with my husband.

Love you, sweetheart.

Chatting With Joyfully Reviewed

I'll be on the Yahoo Group Chatting With Joyfully Reviewed today! I plan on being there some time around nine a.m. until some time around three in the afternoon, off and on. I'll answer any questions, discuss my work, and maybe give someone an ARC of Cat!

Wanna play?

Halfway WIP'd

YAY! Work on Blind Man's Bluff has gone really well this week, and I'm over halfway done! (And, yes, I'm thinking the name may wind up changing, so don't fall in love with it just yet.) I'm going to do my damndest to have it done and out to my beta readers in time for the November elections, then it's off to work on Save A Horse.., I think, which will, God help me, be part of NaNoWriMo. I'm thinking of signing up for it this year, even though I know I stand a better chance next year when M is in kindergarten. 50k words in one month? Oh, my poor fingers, lol!

Speaking of Save a Horse..., what do you think of a vampiric cowboy? Hmm?

Project Runway... No Longer on Bravo

I am a huge Project Runway addict. Come Wednesday nights during PR season, you'll find me glued to the TV, rooting on my favorite designer (this year my fave was Stella, with my second fave being Joe). And because of PR, I found myself getting caught up in other Bravo shows, like Top Chef, Top Design and Sheer Genius.

But it is the end. The finale of finales. Project Runway will no longer be on Bravo. The Weinstein company sold the franchise to Lifetime. NBC, which owns Bravo, was, to say the least, irritated. Seems they had a clause in their contract giving them the right of first refusal on all future airings, and The Weinsteins didn't give them that before selling. Now a court has declared that Lifetime may not show the shows they've taped (ouch!) and NBC has declared that, no matter what happens, the show is done on Bravo.

While I'm sure that Lifetime and NBC will come to some sort of accomodation, in the end Bravo will no longer be airing Project Runway. And that's a pity. Bravo did a marvelous job with the series, and I have to admit to some concerns about how Lifetime would handle it. When (or if, as the case may be) season 6 airs, we'll get to see, since Lifetime has already taped it.

I hope that somehow this issue is resolved in some fashion, and PR is returned to the fans that love it.

In the meanwhile, did you see Wisit's exit from Top Design? Holy moly! The Grand Empress, indeed.

P.S.: If you're a huge fan of these shows, you HAVE to visit Project Rungay and Tom and Lorenzo. Same guys, just one is dedicated to all things fashion and the other is dedicated to whatever runs across their minds, which can be anything from Sheer Genius, Top Chef, Top Design, to Mad Men and their own Musical Mondays (read them if only for the Musical Mondays archive!)

New Releases at Samhain

Today's release day over at Samhain Publishing. Enjoy!

New This Week

Puma Tea for Two Uncovering Egypt

P.S.: I like putting the covers up instead of just the names, so I'll try to remember to do it like this next week. =)

ROFLMAO

I believe I have mentioned once or twice that I like to play MMORPG's (Massively Multi-player Online Role Playing Games) and other video games, like Neverwinter Nights and Diablo. Recently, I tried the Crack of MMORPG's: World of Warcraft (aka WoW).

On the down side, I wasn't that impressed. (Yes, I know, I'm a heretic.) To me it just seemed like yet another in a long line of fantasy MMO's. Been there, done that, already defeated the lich.

On the upside, because WoW has such a huge community, you get some interesting things out of it. Like player-made videos on YouTube. Some of that stuff is freaking hilarious. Now, EverQuest II (the fantasy MMO I was playing originally) also has some pretty good videos, one of which I plan on posting around Christmas.

But this one, this one has stuck in my head. You have a Muppet song (how can you go wrong with Muppets?), bulls in armor, a warhammer, and l33t-speak.

Anyone who knows the difference between WTS, WTB, WTG and WTF will know exactly what I'm talking about.

I present you with: ROFLMAO.

(P.S.: For those of you who don't play MMO's, WTS=Want To Sell; WTB=Want To Buy; WTG=Want To Go, and WTF=... I think you know.)

Edits, Releases and WIP's, Oh My

I've gotten the first round of edits on Cat of a Different Color. So far, not too many problems, which is always something I like to hear (not that I wouldn't fix it if there were lots of problems; it just means I can get back to my WIP that much faster!)

Travis and Jamie are having a very good time; not much writing happened over the weekend (it never does), and yesterday I was in edits, but today I'm hoping to get back into the game. Hopefully M's "drum solos" won't be so loud they drown out the characters. Although I have noticed a recent tendency in Travis to shout a bit...

Oh! New releases at Samhain this week, and it looks like a good crop!

On Wings Rising, by Ann Sommerville; Taken Unaware by Summer Devon; Tamed by Lynne Maris; Twice the Night by Dawn Halliday; Where There's a Will, by Katriana Knights; and Total Eclipse of the Heart by Crystal Jordan. I know I don't often mention the new releases (bad author! no cookie!), but I'm going to try to remember to do that a bit more often.

Notice I said try. With M still at home killing my brain cells that might not always work out.
