To hold onto his love, he must release his beast.

Halle Shifters, Book 1

Once a Bear sets his mind on a mission, it’s best to stay out of his way. Alexander “Bunny” Bunsun is that Bear. Something’s not right with his cousin Chloe, and he’s come to Halle, PA, to sort it out, turn his Harley around and head home to Oregon. Until an enticing scent lures him into the local tattoo shop.

There she is. An inked, Southern-drawled she-Wolf with lime-green hair. His perfect mate.

Tabitha Garwood’s rotten day just got worse. Her Outcast status makes her a target for harassment with alarming regularity. And now, in the middle of a root touch-up, looking like a half-melted Skittle, she’s met her destined mate. The only upside? She finally has a protector in the form of a huge, tattooed, shaved-head Bear who vibrates with carefully restrained power.

When Chloe is left for dead and Tabby is threatened, only Alex can keep his growing family safe. Giving Tabby the loving home she needs, though, could come at a price—Alex must give up the control he’s worked a lifetime to attain.

Which means someone could die at the hands—and claws—of his beast.

Warning: This novel contains explicit sex, graphic language, a hunky Bear named Bunny and… Yes. I said a Bear named Bunny. I don’t know about you but I’m not brave enough to make fun of it.

Nip and Tuck

So today's the day of the surgery. I'm just about to head over to the hospital for the initial sign in and mountain of paperwork. I'll be incommunicado except for emergencies until Monday. If I'm still down for the count, I'll badger Dusty into posting and emailing the winner of the contest. Bear Necessities comes out Tuesday; I should be able to sit at my desk long enough to update the buy links on my website, but it might take me the whole day, so please be patient.

Sandie, I'm going to mail you the excerpts on Monday, if I don't have Dusty help me sooner. (If I can't make the Samhain Cafe chat, Sandie, one of the mods, generously offered to post stuff for me.)

All right; I'm off! Have a great weekend, everyone, and I'll talk to you next week!

Ugh

So. How many reruns of Most Evil and Cold Blood can a woman watch before she snaps? (Wait! Isn't there a show called Snapped?)

This is the most writing I've done all week, and already I'm going to have to move away from my precious laptop thanks to a sore tummy. *sniffle* Surgery is next Thursday, and I won't be on at ALL for a week or two after that, so this might be the next to last update for a while.

On a lighter note, my kids woke me up this morning playing bullfighter in the living room. There's nothing quite like hearing "TORO! TORO HIYA!" followed by the sound of a thousand elephants stampeding across the carpet, accompanied by giggles. How one tiny six year old can make so much noise when he runs I'll never understand.

Just A Few Things

First off, I went to the doctor this morning and my surgery has been scheduled for July 22nd. That means I won't be doing the Bunny chat at the Samhain Cafe, but I might see if I can get someone else to do it for me.

Second, it appears that, while I was at the surgeon's, someone in China (CHINA!) got bored and hacked my email account. I've changed my password and it should be safe now, but if anyone gets a funny email from me let me know right away so I can take steps. If worse comes to worst I have an alternate email address I can set up instead of the one I'm using now, but it's a last resort kind of thing that I'd rather not do. I like the way my current email account is set up and it would take me a while to move all of my saved emails to the new account.

Third, we seem to be in the middle of a ginormous heat wave in my area, which means the kids are stuck in the house. Since I'm not allowed to run away screaming (thank you, hernia; thank you so much), and I don't have the escape of writing... something tells me my Ben and Dave book might wind up more like Belle and Rick's than I'd originally intended. The longer the kids are cooped up with me and Dusty, the meaner Dave sounds in my head.

Right now, he's planning on forcing Ben onto the Small World ride. It's not pretty. Before you know it he'll be dragging him out to buy a tiara and they'll be a vicious mauling right outside Pirates of the Caribbean.

Anyway, that's my current heads' up. I'll post again next week, sooner if something happens. Enjoy the rest of the week!
