I Put the Pro in Procrastination

Guess what I'm doing today?

Yes, that's right. I'm editing Of Shadows and Ash.

There are times when the edits are going well, and you feel...well, sort of like Maria. The book is alive with the sound of words, right? Nothing can stop you, and you're on top of the world.

And then there are days when edits make you feel...well...

So here I am, on the second round of edits for Shadows, the third Maggie's Grove book. It's a Sunday, and I spent Saturday running errands and, of course, editing. So today I wake up early, make my coffee, settle down in front of my computer, and by page ten I was holding a pillow over my face to muffle my screams.

All right. I'll be honest here. Part of it may be that it's a Sunday, and I'd much rather be playing video games. It could be that the stuff being edited was brand new material and needed to be gone over with a fine-tooth comb, meaning more work on a day I usually call Jammie Sunday. It could also be my new meds, which make me sleep like a zom-zom.

Or, it could be that I'd rather be playing video games.

Come to think of it, I could totally go for some pizza right now too.

Damn it. Is it lunch time already?

Ugh. I need to get myhead back in the game, right? So... hot guys?

I think my brain is trying to tell me something.

No, brain! Not now. I... must... EDIT!

Sigh. Back to work.

New Release and New Look

First off, let's address the new look! Ms. Kendra of Creations by Kendra made me a beautiful new logo.

You like? I do!

Now, because I'm not nearly as good as she is, my blog is kind of...messed up. I'm working on figuring out how to fix it, so bear with me while I remember my HTML. Trust me, I hate that tiling background thingie as much as you do. I want a nice, smooth background like my website has.

I'll figure it out. It might involve some cursing, chocolate, and lots of sobbing, but it will get done.

Second, I have a NEW RELEASE TODAY!

Heart's Desire Book 3
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Length: Novel
ISBN: 978-1-61921-975-5

The toughest battle he’s ever faced is convincing her she’s the queen of his soul.

Gareth Beckett takes the wizard throne in three days, and the woman who stole his heart is missing. Hoping with everything in him that it will call her back to his side, he casts the Beckett mate spell.

One minute, Genevieve Godwin is knocking on Gareth’s door to tell him she’s had a vision warning of a threat to his life. The next, she’s pinned to his sofa, trying to explain her recent absence to one very irate werewolf wizard.

Ever since Gen was forced to use her warlock powers to save him, he’s barely made eye contact. And now he wants her to be his queen? She’s a Hecate’s Own, not a princess. Her place is on the trail of evil—especially her own brothers—to bring them to justice, not sipping tea and making small talk.

Gareth is determined to keep her at his side, and not only to keep her safe. Between scheming courtiers, the threat of the Godwin brothers and Gen’s insistence that she be allowed to continue her work as one of Hecate’s Own, Gareth is about to lose his mind. It will take a powerful combination of witch, wizard and warlock to stop the magical coup d’état that could destroy them all.

Warning: This title contains explicit sex, graphic language, and a king who can't live without his queen.

As far as I can tell all of the buy links are live!

Where The Hell Have You Been?

Short answer: MOVING.

Long answer:

Dusty and I had a house built that's more handicap friendly, so we've been unpacking, and building furniture, and getting the pets used to their new home, and setting up our offices, and working, and...

Add in two cons, plus edits, plus writing Figure of Speech, and I've been a busy little bee.

Oh, here's the new office. My desk hasn't arrived yet (it's backordered...of course), but other than that it's mostly set up. I even have a fireplace in here you can't see because my back is to it.

Not the neatest space in the world, but that's how Dana do.

(Yes, I've been watching way too many Zefrank videos on YouTube in between insane boughts of do-ing. Also, remember, people. Eat your vegetables, or you too will look like a freaky, freaky little tarsier.)

So basically, the level of insanity has been ramped up in Casa de Bell, possibly because of the freaky little tarsier. I mean, look at him. That's the same look my kids give me when I ask if they have homework while they're playing video games.

OH! Before I forget: LORI FOSTER READER AUTHOR GET-TOGETHER! I'll be at the Friday night book signing!
