Suckage

It seems like Mr. Barometer has it in for me. He's been bobbing his head like a ten-dollar whore on a busy night, and my body is friggin' killing me. It's gotten to the point where Dusty is starting to leave chocolate sacrifices to the growly bear I've become. Luckily he knows my preferences, so he's survived... so far. Although he says I should try to tone it down, because when my happy-go-lucky six year old backs sloooowly from the room, perhaps I've growled a bit too loudly.

The good news is I've hit the quarter mark on Cynful, and (when I can work on it) having a grand old time with Julian and Cyn. Glory is still giving Ryan fits, but Tabby and Alex have settled in with each other nicely. And there is mischief afoot in Halle, PA that might surprise you. Cyn is about to receive a bite Julian's been dying to give her, but it's not going to turn out quite like either of them expected.

The bad news is, until Mr. Barometer stops taking customers work will be slow. I plan on taking my pain meds and heating pad and try not to growl too much. And hugs. Maybe I can talk the six year old into hugs.

Think I could bribe him with chocolate? I have some lying around here somewhere...

Hang in, Dana.

Oh, I am. I know it won't last too long, but it feels like it's been going on for weeks rather than just one week. And it sucks, because I know EXACTLY where the next scene is going, and my hands won't obey me. Grr.

Maybe it IS time to look into speech to text software...

Dana,

Not sure how much it will help with a severe arthritis problem, but I have a pretty bad RSI that had me unable to type for more than an hour or two per day (my schedule took a marked hit that month), and it got significantly better when I moved to a Kinesis Advantage keyboard (http://www.kinesis-ergo.com/advantage.htm). Now, it's not for the faint of heart, and not worth it if you don't have to type for hours a day to make a living, but it's been a godsend for me and my wrist pain has vastly improved. For what it's worth.

Hope winter relinquishes you from its hold soon. My first Midwestern winter in a couple of years is wreaking havoc on my sanity too.

I am sooooooooooo ready for Cyn and Julian's story. And I am super excited for Ryan and Glory's story. :sighs:

Thanks, Kym. I've seen keyboards like that before and thought to give them a try. I've got a standard ergo keyboard that helps a bit.

Sheridan, I'm looking forward to it too! I promise, I'm working on it, even if it's at a snail's pace. Cyn just talked to Becky about what the bite is like, and, well. Ahem. Boy, does Becky remember her bite fondly...
