While watching more reruns of How It's Made (dear GODS get me outta here), I decided to take some advice from Ms. Kendra of Creations by Kendra. She hunted me down at Lori Foster's RAGT and pretty much begged me on her knees to change my website (well, at least the header). I think the font I was using gave her eye twitches.
Thursday was spent gleefully playing with color and layout and screaming at children to shut up because damn it, MOMMY'S WORKING! And... I may have gone a little overboard.
Now, you all know me, right? Like I'd change one thing and not change everything. So I did! Let me know what you think, good and bad. I'm not sure it doesn't still need tweaking, mostly because I was so used to the black, green and gold, but blue is my favorite color so I figured I couldn't go wrong with it.
I blame Morgan Freeman's Through The Wormhole for the background, by the way. I could listen to that man recite the phone book and get inspired.
If something is SCREAMINGLY bad, feel free to email me in caps. Seriously. I do not want it to suck donkey... well, you get the picture.

P.S.: I have no clue yet why some text is turning up with a white background. I'll figure it out... when I get back from vacation.

Could the white background be from a copy and paste?
So far I love the new page. I love the pictures. Omg they have Donkey Balls. Where ever did you find those. There great.

I like it. I do wonder if the frame could be a tiny bit wider... maybe a half inch or so (that's what she said!). :)
Love the blue and the stars and you are so right about Morgan Freeman. He has one of those voices that make you purr.
On my website, or on this blog? I'm sort of constrained on Blogger as far as width goes, but I doubled the width on my website.
The only way to make the main column wider here is to get rid of one of the sidebars, which is an option in the future. I would get rid of most of the book covers on here to do it, though, and I'm not sure I want to play with Blogger's pages function. It's not nearly as neat and contained as the front page (or so it seemed the two times I checked it out).
Ok...apparently I need more sleep. The website is fine, it looks great! Blogger has it's own issues and I agree I wouldn't want to mess with the page functions on there.
So I read this whole post in my email, and then realized I really should come look at the changes you made. I think it looks good. As for the white background in certain spots, I've had the same thing happen and it frustrated me so much I just changed the background for posts back to white just so I wouldn't have to deal with it.
Turns out it IS copy-paste, and I can't make it stop. I might go to a white background but... I wuv my purple. Sigh.
I'll figure something out. :p
