Q&A on Coming Soon

I've been getting a lot of questions recently about my release schedule for this year, so I thought I'd try and answer them all in a single blog post.

I have less information than you may be happy with, but I do have some. Bear with me, because some of these I have a season, some a month, and some an actual date.

In eBook:

The Wizard King (Heart's Desire 3): Comes out June 17th.

The Fire Within (The Nephilim 2): Comes out in June, but I have no exact date or cover art yet.

Siren's Song (Gray Court 5): Should be coming out very late Summer into Fall. Not sure of exact date.

Not Broken (True Destiny 5): Just got a contract; I believe it will be late winter, no exact date set. I don't even have a page on my website for this one yet.

In Print:

Hecate's Own (Heart's Desire 2): Comes out April 1, 2014.

Bear Naked (Halle Shifters 3): Comes out February 3, 2015.

Once I have official release dates I'll update them on my website and the sidebar of my blog. I'll also post them to Facebook, Twitter, and if I remember, Tumblr and Pintrest. For monthly updates in your inbox, you can join my Yahoo!Group newsletter. It's set up so that I am the only one who can post, so you won't get spammed from it. You will have to become a member, but you do not need to have a Yahoo! email address. My copy of the newsletter goes to my Gmail account.

As for what I'm currently working on, I've just started the next Halle Shifter novel, Figure of Speech, featuring Jim and Chloe. It's going to be delayed by a week while I finish up some edits on The Fire Within, but I should have it to my editor no later than the end of May. I'll be submitting the synopsis for it next month. You can check my weekly progress on my website.

I have to wait to 2015 to get the print version of bare naked? Why does it take so long to get it out in print?

If it was up to me print would come out the same day as the e-books, but it's not. It's how Samhain does things. Their FAQ states:

19. When will a title be in print?

Samhain titles are published first in ebook, then, if the title is long enough for print, it will be published in trade paperback within twelve months. (http://www.samhainpublishing.com/faqs/#F19)

You can always write to them and suggest print come out the same day (or month!) as the ebooks, but because they go through a major distributor I'm not sure if it's feasible. You can write to them here: http://www.samhainpublishing.com/contact-us/

It's with Carina, going through their process. My editor loved it, but their acquisitions team has to love it too. Crossing my fingers for that one. :D
